Features

Heres a closer look at some of the features you’ll find on our electric instruments. (DF-6 model shown in photos)

Headstock, Damper and String Action Adjustment –

Precise tuner placement allows for straight run-through of strings. The bar retainer replaces the traditional nut and serves as a simple yet effective way of adjusting both the string height at the zero fret and also the damper action. To use without the damper one can simply use a capo at the zero fret.

Rear Access, Double Action Truss-rod –

The supplied 4mm allen wrench lets one maintain optimal neck relief for the style of playing required. The open rear-access design makes this a very simple task with no covers or screws and we hope it encourages players to take control of their instruments playability.

Fully adjustable Harness System –

While this is not absolutely essential, the harness makes it easy (and comfortable!) to adjust the height and angle of the instrument to suit the individual. A regular guitar strap can also be used but with a lesser degree of control. (Update: We have a new improved strap and belt clip system that better serves our clients needs … we need to update this picture soon!)

Standard Humbucker and Top-Loading Bridge –

The use of standard humbucking pickups together with our onboard preamp/buffer circuit has proven to give great results and has allowed us to experiment with different models. We use pickups that have been tried and tested and we know to have a clear and balanced response over the frequency range required.

Our top-loading bridge is an economic and practical consideration that makes string changing a breeze. We recommend the use of our custom strings (made by LemmaSound), but stock electric guitar and bass strings can also be used (note: bass string with a large ball end may require some minor modification and will need to be installed in a ‘through-body’ fashion).

Easy Access On-board Electronics –

There are various options in terms of electronics but they all fit into the easy-access, fully-shielded cavity  that opens from the underside of the instrument. A simple push down on the bottom corners of the magnetically attached cover is all that’s required to view, check, replace or modify parts, battery or ‘through-body’ strings.
